Quick Answer: Air Content Meters are apparatus designed to determine the air content in cement mortar, cement paste, and lime mortar, using a cast-aluminium test pot sealed air-tight with two quick-action spring clamps and pressurized by a built-in hand pump. Two models are available — 1 liter capacity conforming to EN 459-2, and 0.75 liter capacity conforming to EN 413-2 — both offered on request in an electric operated version, with a pressure gauge scale reading 0-50 volumetric %. These apparatus have been designed to determine the air content in cement mortar, cement paste, and lime mortar. The testers are made of cast aluminium, with an air pump and the push buttons TEST and CORRECTION arranged in a simple-to-use configuration on the front plate, and a pressure gauge installed recessed in the head of the meter with a scale indication range of 0-50 volumetric %. The test pot and the upper part are sealed air-tight together by means of two quick-action spring clamps, and the air is compressed by means of a built-in hand pump.
The two models are practically identical except for the capacity: the 1 liter capacity model is conforming to the EN 459-2, whilst the 0.75 liter capacity model is conforming to EN 413-2 standards. Both models can be supplied, on request, in the electric operated version.
