It consists of a thin film tube, a 400mL Pyrex beaker, a cover assembly with bath stirrer, a sample pump rotor and cooling coil, a 6V lamp with line cord, and a drive motor; a positive drive pulley system rotates the sample and bath stirrers. A porcelain refractory top plate shields the 750W heater and has a positioning well for the Pyrex bath, and a low voltage receptacle in the heater housing accepts the line cord of the 6V lamp. Heating rate can be adjusted per specifications using the accessory Powertrol Heater, available at additional cost, which has variable stepless control and a reference dial for repeatable control of heating rate.
