Mini-Sampler
Product Code : EL-ELI-11046
Mini-Sampler (code EL-ELI-11046) is a polyethylene liquid sampler in which the liquid touches only a single-use PE suction hose and the sample bottle, which largely prevents cross contamination between samples. After sampling, the bottle is sealed straight away with a tamper-evident cap, and the suction hose is replaced quickly before the next sample.

What Is the Mini-Sampler Used For?
When several sources are sampled one after another, traces left in the equipment can carry from one sample into the next and distort low-level results. With this sampler only the hose and the bottle touch the liquid, so fitting a fresh single-use hose gives a clean path for every sample. The operator draws the liquid through the suction hose into the sample bottle, closes the bottle at once with its tamper-evident cap and discards the hose before moving on to the next point.

Frequently Asked Questions
What parts of the Mini-Sampler touch the sample?
Only the suction hose and the sample bottle come into contact with the liquid, which largely prevents cross contamination from one sample to the next.
Is the suction hose reusable?
The PE suction hose is meant for single use and can be replaced quickly, so each sample is drawn through a fresh hose.
How is the sample sealed?
The bottle is closed tightly with a tamper-evident cap immediately after the sample is taken, so it stays sealed until it is opened at the laboratory.
What is cross contamination in sampling?
Cross contamination happens when traces of one sample remain in the equipment and mix into the next, which can distort test results, especially at low concentrations.
