What Is the Surface Catch Net Used For?
Floating debris, sludge, leaves, algae and other solids in channels, basins and treatment tanks are collected so that they can be identified, weighed or examined. The operator snaps the net onto the telescopic aluminium rod, extends it to the sampling point and draws the net through the water; water passes through the 2 mm to 5 mm mesh and solid and organic material collects in the 250 mm deep net. The angular beakers, pendulum beakers, bottle holders and stainless steel beakers of the same system attach to the rod with the same snap-in joint, so one rod serves for liquid and solid samples.
