What Is the Electromagnetic Digital Sieve Shaker Used For?
In a sieve analysis the nest of sieves has to be agitated long enough for every particle to reach a sieve it cannot pass, and doing this by hand is slow and hard to repeat from test to test. The operator stacks up to 12 sieves of 200 mm or 8 of 300 mm with pan and cover, sets the timer and starts the electromagnetic drive, which moves the stack vertically; the fractions left on each sieve are then weighed. Taking off the upper plate turns the unit into a vibrating table for compacting a single concrete specimen.
