Brass Frame Sieves

Quick Answer: Brass Frame Sieves are testing sieves available in 200, 250, 300, 315 and 450 mm diameters for particle size analysis of soils and aggregates. Sieves of the same nominal diameter nest one inside another, so a 200 mm sieve (8 in) can test up to 1000 g of aggregates and a 300 mm sieve (12 in) up to 3000 g, and each sieve is manufactured with reference to BS 410, IS 460 and ASTM E11 standards designations, as detailed in the specification table below.
This complete range of full-depth testing sieves is available in 200, 250, 300, 315 and 450 mm diameters. Sieves of the same nominal diameter are designed to nest one inside another; using 200 mm sieves (8 in), it is possible to test up to 1000 g of aggregates, and up to 3000 g with 300 mm (12 in) sieves. Each sieve's specifications are clearly marked on its label, including the serial number and other information for identification and traceability.
All frames, except the 450 mm dia. -made of sheet steel- and wire cloth sieves are manufactured from stainless steel. Perforated plates are made from tinned steel.
Important note: The EN standards specify that: “Sieves with aperture size of 4 mm and above shall be perforated plate square hole test sieves. Below that size they shall be woven wire test sieves”.
