What Is the Dorry Abrasion Testing Machine Used For?
Abrasion resistance shows how quickly the surface of a stone wears when it is rubbed by grit, a property of interest for aggregates used in road surfaces and paving. Two prepared specimens are placed in the containers, which are weighted so that each specimen bears on the turning disc, while sand runs from the conical hoppers onto the disc in front of them.
