What Is the High Capacity Sieve Shaker Used For?
Large field samples of coarse material are often too bulky for round test sieves, and a high capacity shaker grades them on rectangular screen trays instead. The operator fits the screen trays needed for the separation, from two up to seven fractions, loads a sample of up to about 30 litres onto the top tray and runs the shaker; each tray can then be withdrawn separately because of the equal spacing, and the material retained on each is weighed. Fitting the shaker inside the soundproof and security cabinet reduces noise and encloses the moving parts. The standard listed for it is EN 932-5.
