What Is the Semi-Automatic Compression Testing Machine Used For?
Compression machines of this kind crush cubes, cylinders and other samples to find the stress at which they fail. The operator enters the sample details through the menu, so that the HMI can work out peak stress from the sample type, shape and area, sets the sample between the platens with distance pieces as needed and closes the front and rear safety doors. After start is pressed, the rapid approach pump closes the daylight and the pace rate is then held with the manual controller, guided by the pace rate bar on the screen. At failure the peak load and peak stress are shown, stored under a record number and printed or downloaded through RS232.
